Why I Started a Blog

I never thought I would be the type of person who would start a blog, but here I am. This was somewhat of an impulsive decision, but it was also something I had been thinking about doing for awhile now-- partially to share my photos in a more aesthetic setting than Facebook, and partially to share my knowledge and experience on traveling.

For those of you who don't know me very well, there is one thing you should know about me: I love to travel and explore new places. In my lifetime I have been to 35 countries including China, Kenya, Norway, Spain, and Morocco. Before I die I want to visit all 7 continents (only Australia/New Zealand and Antarctica to go!). However, seeing as I've been juggling a math major, pre-med classes, and everything else college has to offer, I haven't gotten to do much traveling on my own. This is why I have decided to study abroad this fall semester at Newbold College in London, England. It will give me the opportunity to get out and see the world on my own and with friends (and get all those easy generals done).

In short, traveling is something I've grown up with and I'll never grow out of. So why exactly did I start a blog?

To share my experiences with you, and to inspire you to get out and see the world for yourself. I don't plan on boring anyone with long posts and unimportant things (but seriously if I bore you, PLEASE tell me), but instead I intend to enlighten you with a new perspective of the world and encourage you to see it from a new point of view.

But on top of that, I hope to ignite in you a desire for adventure. It's not enough to live vicariously through other people's blogs or Instagram posts. You have to get out, be it in the Great Outdoors or across the world.

So step out of your comfort zone and get exploring.
